Traditional philosophy of A.T. Still:
This is based on the “triune man” with body mind and
spirit.
For Dr. A.T. Still
osteopathy was more a philosophy than a technique. His way of complex thinking
anticipated cybernetic system theory and chaos theory about 75 years before
these theories had been developed. A.T. Still
was
a visionary and complex thinker. His kind of “network thinking” is one of
the basic fundaments of osteopathy.
Osteopathy in the 21st century is based on the
fundamental knowledge of Dr. A.T. Still in the 19th
century. Osteopathic philosophy and practice has to
be transformed into the 21st century in
accordance with the long medical tradition in Europe
and the results of modern science.
